After extensive research on switching to LED bulbs in my 1995 Honda Del Sol SI VTEC I bought this set because I thought that it only takes one 60 ohm resistor per circuit to fix the hyper-blink problem that LEDs always cause. So I was surprised when I put a resistor on the right turn signal circuit and one on the left and the hyper flashing continued. (Hyper-flashing is a rapid blinking of an LED at about twice the normal frequency that occurs when an LED bulb is inserted into a circuit that includes a flasher relay. LEDs use less power than traditional incandescent bulbs, so the flasher relay LEDs in what to Hyperflashing leads) Luckily the problem went away when I added a resistor to each output. This is not a product defect. just the result of misinformation on the internet. So stay tuned. Add a resistor in the location of each blinker, attach it to a metal surface (to put the generated heat somewhere), and don't let the resistor's metal touch any plastic or cloth surfaces. hot if you leave turn signal on for a while. I've read that you can use zip ties or similar to hang the resistor away from the plastic or fabric, but in my opinion this would only be a good idea if you don't have a suitable metal surface to mount it as a radiator. Yet again. and not the fault of the product. However, if you add LED bulbs to reduce current requirements, be aware that the resistor more than offsets the energy saved by the LED. It's impossible to avoid. The LED is not drawing enough current for the vehicle's flasher relay to detect its presence, so the Hyler flashes. The only way to stop the hyperflash is to add a resistor that draws enough current to make the system think there's a regular lightbulb in the circuit. The only reason to switch to LEDs for turn signals is to increase the light output. Sorry to disappoint all tree lovers. :)
