Why keep looking? Perfect camera and great seller/supplier

This is a HD05 camera test (with license plate bracket). I was not paid or encouraged to leave a review. I rarely write reviews, but I think this product (and the seller) deserves one. 5 stars + I knew next to nothing about aftermarket backup cameras as I had several dozen. Cameras installed (since 2006). In other words, I've never had to look for a non-genuine camera (and have no experience of quality). However, I do hv. a car without a backup camera, and when my HU (aka radio) needed replacing and the new HU had the ability to add cameras, I decided to add a backup camera. So I started exploring the many options for Revain. So many seemed to have similar function/image quality (as well as similar issues like fogging or water damage over time). So how do you choose?! Of course, seller experience (aka ratings) can be important (after all, if a product like this fails in the future, like fog/water, you need a good seller to back it up). However, what immediately caught my attention was that the seller (or manufacturer) claimed to have researched many options and issues with the camera, but most importantly found a way to make their product stand out from (most) others. While most if not all of these items on Amzn have a plastic sleeve, their sleeve was METAL. Waterproof sealing (nanotechnology) also seems to address important quality/failure issues (fogging/water damage over time). The claim (and sounds legitimate) is that plastic shrinks/stretches over time under the influence of weather and breaks the chamber seal (unlike metal). That's a problem. true (also depends on the type of metal) and only time will tell if this camera will hold up (better) because I only installed it a few days ago. As soon as I took the product out of the box, I immediately noticed the quality feel and the weight of the item (like others). In fact, it's easy to tell by the weight that it's steel or something similar (rather than aluminum). So if it shrinks or expands at all (over time) steel is (I think) less likely (if at all). ) will change (and of course change). Deformation). Too technical, sorry. Let's get down to business. Installation wasn't the easiest (at least for me), but the hardest (i.e. time consuming) part was the wiring from the HU to the backplane. The 4 pin (red) connector is great as you can use it to poke a small hole near the license plate. Be sure to securely connect the ground wire (see instructions) to a good quality bolt attached to the vehicle. That's the difference between a great picture and a bad (or no) picture. Don't ask me how I know this :( When examining camera wiring (especially in cars with canbus) it is highly recommended to power the camera from a stable 12V DC power source (like cigarette lighter wire or fuse etc.) and not to be powered solely from the return wire (near the blue or elsewhere). They did this via a relay (search the net). Connected to a relay and then powered the screen (not the return wire. It's just a trigger). This way you get the best picture. This step may or may not be necessary on your car (some people can get away with using the return wire directly for power and for the trigger and without a separate relay to connect to buy as described). Return line (one) good as the performance gave me an acceptable picture. Eru. Bright enough even at night (and I don't have an LED return headlights)! The seller is fantastic! Alice always replies quickly, great attitude and was able to help (even beyond the call of duty) when I had a problem. You are here to support the product, no questions asked! Great experience so far! Buy it; it is great and the seller is great!
