I wanted these for my yard and i wanted the kid not to end up with an accident nor avoid the yard after its dark.The packaging was nice , i am surprised as how they don't have a battery tab on each of them when they were shipped. It must be glowing since it was dark inside the package.Now lets see how it makes sense to use these.They run on solar batteries that are charged during the day using the solar panels. I already have some Solar batteries i use for my lanterns in the front lawn. Just in case if they don't glow you can replace batteries and try them out. You must use (NiMH Rechargeable batteries)Coming back to the motion sensor lights , they come with adhesive pads as well screws to mount them.One switch to toggle between the low power medium power and brightest modes.Medium Mode - Stay on (This will be like a regular solar light wit will light up after dark and stay on all the time)Dim light -Sensor Mode(Lights up only after motion is detected but emits less light) - Can cater to stairs or other frequently used areas where the light comes in handy to help and can be used many times in a day since it emits low power light.Bright light -Sensor Mode is the one i use because the area is not frequently used but i need the brightness to see things clearly when in use.Mounting was hassle free , and the light is responsive and bright. I have used 2 in the back yard where they get sunlight throughout the day. I will update the review if any of them stop working or malfunctioning.Great for the price, i clipped a coupon from amazon and it was perfect for our house.
