Review on Revolutionize Playtime: Talkies Rechargeable Bluetooth 🔊 for 6-12 Year Olds - Kid's Perfect Electronics by Dustin Woodrow

They have deafening alarms!

The most important thing I can tell you about these walkie-talkies is to show you the only way I can figure out how to disable one of their features - the deafening alarm clock! When (not if!) your child sets off the alarm clock—that shrill, shrill alarm clock—it will sound not on one, but on both walkie-talkies when both are on. It will wake up your sleeping baby and possibly the dead one and won't turn off. In fact, the walkie-talkies themselves don't even turn off unless you press the center button to pause them (on both walkie-talkies) and then turn them both off. (see my video above). Please! Good. Now that we've got that out of the way... these walkie-talkies are packed with features I wasn't expecting, especially considering the age group they're aimed at. You've got wireless Bluetooth, intercom capabilities (where you can leave it on the intercom without pressing a button to talk), flashing lights, USB charging instead of batteries, obviously walkie-talkies, and that godless alarm mentioned above. They also say they have TWS but don't explain what it is. The walkie-talkies are fairly compact despite being large. They look cute and have straps that look premium. They come with USB charging cables but no plugs. I would have preferred they had a single USB charging cable that connects to both devices, but that's no big deal. I really like that they are rechargeable. One odd thing is that although both devices have a charge indicator, the pink one illuminates the entire bottom of the device while the blue one doesn't (see photos). The instructions are seriously lacking. They are poorly translated, confusing and contain very little information. (see photos). The full manual consists of just two photos (specs, FCC information and warnings are on the back of the manual). I bought these for my little granddaughters but a) they are too difficult to use and b) my daughter kills me the first time the alarm goes off! Rschunimagu. They would have to stick with Nana and Pops and be labeled street-only toys. I give them 2 stars. I think if they were for older kids I would rate them higher.

Pros
  • Updated VOX Features: You don't need to shout out loud to find your kids, just talk to the Tibeha walkie talkie and your kids will be online.
Cons
  • No Power
