This is a sponge. One that hardens as it dries. BUT - I love them - they get flat, thin, hard. Things. It's hard to understand what it is until you hold it under the faucet. It immediately grows into an ordinary kitchen sponge. So short, so entertaining. They were my little surprise - a stocking, a silly thing to add to a letter/postcard (yes, some people still send mail!), a little fun for the grandson. and for my 95 year old mother-in-law, who found her just as funny as I did. Highly recommended! (Oh, that's a good sponge!)
