great filter option for my refrigerator

This filter is easy to install and works just fine with my model of GE side by side refrigerator/freezer. The filter does include a handy tab of stickers so you can easily indicate the month you replaced it. This way you will know when to switch it out for a new one 6-12 months later. When you install it, don't be alarmed by the loud noises when you use the water dispenser. That's just the air escaping the line and the water filling the filter. Once it's full of water and all air is expelled, it will be quiet again.
