I bought this LED bubble ring for my 20 gallon aquarium. I had no problem with it floating as I dug the first 1-2 inches of wire and air line into the substrate. And I mean buried, not just cover up. I don't have anything upstairs to hold it, just some pebbles being flung around by the gravel sucker and my oranda. The lighting is great and the bubbles produced are small to medium sized in my opinion, not as small as an air stone or bubble wand. I have large apple snails that move around the device itself, as well as the cord and hose, and it stays in place. During the day when my tank's LEDs are on I can see the colors of the bubble ring, although I don't usually turn it on during the day, only at night. It's pretty exciting!
