Using more and more plastic for one of the world's leading brands is a bad idea
When I got it 12 years ago it was with a 0-3" kit, recently the plastic lock broke lever and replaced it with a new micrometer, a friction thimble is my choice for the most sensitive and accurate measurements, almost zero force. bad idea, cheap stuff ruins reputation.
