Does not protect against ground faults

I tested this unit by plugging it into an ungrounded 2-prong wall outlet. The device powers the load (high resistance heater). It will not cut off power if the power supply is not grounded, nor will it protect sensitive electronic equipment from damage from static electricity build-up caused by a failed power supply.

Pros

Indoor Use: Provides ground fault and single mode surge protection for any equipment or tool used indoors. Use in bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, basements, garages or anywhere electricity is used in addition to water.
