Review on ⚙️ Jabsco Service Kit (37045/245) 90197-0000: Ultimate Solution for Efficient Maintenance by Daniel Hicks

I resealed my Jabsco electric head a few years ago and it recently started leaking within seconds of flushing. The device is rarely used. I got this kit because it looked like I only needed the gaskets. The impeller worked great. When I removed the pump I found that the gasket supplied was for the motor side of the impeller housing and the kit did not include a gasket for the wear plate. I've looked at everything and it doesn't look like you can, but the wear plate gasket itself is something you should get with the plate that comes with it. If you are unsure whether you need a wear plate or a seal in one, do yourself a favor and purchase the larger seal kit that comes with the wear plate and impeller for $50. The plate alone is over $30 in most places, and when you combine it with this $20 gasket kit, you're already down to $50. As a previous reviewer noted, the large o-ring does not fit in the groove on the wear plate. It's more than a groove.
