The first thing that struck me about this leash is that the handle is round and strong. I have a great mix of boxer and pit lane, energetic and strong and sometimes downright single-minded (squirrel!). On many occasions my old leash has cut my fingers or hand because of the square edges. This new leash, with a rounded shape and larger diameter, feels soft in my hands and provides a secure grip. My wife also likes this line much better because she was always afraid that the old ones would break and she feels completely safe in the power of new lines. Another interesting point was the use of an elastic cord. This is great for minimizing sudden tugs on the leash when our dog is chasing something. This helps me especially after previous back surgery as there have been a few cases in the past where my back has failed due to my large dog pulling on the leash. Simply put, both my wife and I are much more comfortable with this leash and look forward to new walks with it.
