I have tried many different recovery protein products but Huma Recovery Smoothie is the best I have found. I use Huma Gels as my mainstay for running and cycling (also highly recommended), which is why I tried the smoothie last year because it comes in a handy travel bag (great bonus). After a few uses, I was definitely able to tell the difference between Huma Smoothie and the other protein I was using at the time. The day after using Huma my muscles felt much younger. Consuming something harder after a hard workout was also a lot easier on my stomach than trying to suck a bottle of sand out of a shaker. And taste! Who doesn't love mixed berries that REALLY taste like mixed berries? An added bonus is that the smoothie sachets are perfect when I'm out on the weekends, which makes up most of the weekend. Not having to pack up powders and bottles and then have to bring them back home in the sanitary condition you leave them in is a huge bonus. The rule of thumb is to consume recovery protein 45 minutes after completing a workout, and having a packet ready and waiting for me will ensure I don't miss that window.
