I bought this to access my old IDE hard drives. After installing the software, connecting the hard drive to the system and turning on the device, I can feel the hard drive spinning up but the computer can't see anything. I tried several hard drives, IDE and SATA, not a single drive was read, although all were powered. I know these are the SATA drives that work because I use them in my system and in the SATA caddies I have. I bought this because I was using a proprietary connection for my IDE USB device and I can't find the cable. I figured I'd just buy a brand new one. Nothing but money spent as this product does nothing. Don't buy this!
