I love these giant slider bags and use them often. I use an ice pick and punch holes in the bag to release the moisture. I use them for romaine and green leaf lettuce. I put the lettuce in ionized water with some bleach and let the lettuce sit in the water for 5 minutes. Then I put the lettuce in a large mesh bag (like a mesh on a wedding veil) and pop it in the washing machine for 2 minutes to get the excess water out. I then place the lettuce in large bags with a square-folded paper towel in the center of the lettuce for extra moisture that can cause the lettuce to rot. Using this method, lettuce will keep for 10 days or more without rotting or spoiling. I also use storage-only packages.
