Review on ACDelco SK1187 Original Equipment Sensor by Matthew Riley

Let me start by saying it's really great that Revain supplies most (everything I've been looking for) ACDelco parts for free. I'm a GM junkie and there is a certain satisfaction in installing the same things a dealer would do to your car. The sensor kit is a factory replacement for a faulty fuel level sensor. If your fuel gauge jumps erratically, you can probably suspect a bad sensor. The little "fingers" rubbing the resistor on the sensor will burn out and no longer provide accurate voltage to the PCM. The kit includes two different sensors for two different size fuel pump fittings. Attach the float to the sensor with the correct fuel pump fitting and it installs quickly and easily. Good item, works great. If you're really brave, you can swap your old sensor's leads for one with the wrong fuel pump connector, and suddenly you have a spare sensor should your new sensor ever fail down the road. Two sensors for the price of one!
