This seemed to be a much more elaborate construction than the hard rubber version with short lugs and uncomfortable ribs that I had previously bought. The top and bottom brushes are well spaced and provide just enough abrasion to be used for cleaning. The bristles aren't as stiff or hard as a dish brush for example, but a lot stiffer than some others, overall this seems like a good level of hardness for brushes. The plastic it's made of is more durable than expected and looks well made. There was a small issue with some of the bristles coming out of one of the sockets, but it was only one socket. This did not affect the overall performance of the item.
