Review on LCDOLED Replacement 14.0 inches FullHD IPS Touch Screen Digitizer Assembly for Lenovo Flex 6 14 - Upgrade your Display Quality! by Larry Gaines

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A big improvement over the standard Lenovo Flex 6 14ARR screen

Received this while trying to upgrade the terrible screen that comes with this amazing laptop. The original screen was 1366 x 768 with terrible viewing angles. It's true 1080p and has a nearly 180-degree Y field of view, which I think is a must-have for a convertible laptop like this. Touch still works fine. I'm not sure about the pen input as I don't have one. Installation wasn't that bad, nor was working with a notebook. The plastic strips near the hinges fold open to reveal 4 Phillips screws. Once you take them out, plastic clips appear around the perimeter. You carefully break off the ones that aren't secured, and once you do you've got a pain in the ass that comes with this setup: there's a fairly strong double-sided tape running vertically on the left and right sides between the two runs screen and case. . You need to carefully separate the two sides. I used a long kitchen knife and gradually worked it on both sides, turning the sharp edge into a shell shape in a series of jigsaws. Once that's done, you can pry the screen out of the case, remove the cables (note how they're routed and connected), the Wi-Fi antennas, and the camera board. Putting it together is just the opposite, except this time you don't have to worry about that pesky band. The first boot resulted in a bad Lenovo logo and a blank screen, along with the usual Windows "new device detected" sounds. 2nd boat was flawless. The source display identifies itself to the operating system as device ID: CMN14D6. This is identified as BOE082C. If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty doing something like this, it's worth it. difference between day and night.
