I have a house of 3000 square meters. ft with a large open family room, 20 ft ceilings opening to a loft at the top of the stairs. The kitchen, office, living room and dining area are also relatively open on the ground floor. I needed something that could clear a large room. We have two boxers and a new building is being built near us. Construction from the development has led to an increase in dust and allergies. With two pairs of boxers, I was always worried that our house would smell like dogs. This device appears to have significantly improved air quality. I no longer smell dogs or dust. I feel a lot less stuffy and noticeably less dust settles on the furniture. I wiped my desk at the office every few days and now as I sit at my desk and write this review I look at my desk and my monitors and there is no dust on them. I know I haven't cleaned it in at least a week. What it was like before buying this air purifier is unknown. If the device is high (setting #4) you will definitely notice it. For how much air does it have to move, what is expected. If you are in the same room and on the phone or watching TV, you can turn it down 1 or 2 notches and it will be quiet enough. I would definitely recommend this air purifier as I have had no negative experiences with it and it meets or exceeds my expectations.
