Tried this as a shorter antenna off the stud that came with my car. Except for the FM station I'm listening to, there may be some noise, and this antenna is even worse, I like the look. There is 1 local FM station in town that I like, but in some places I may experience reception problems or static when using my antenna. standard antenna. Reception is worse with that short, clipping under bridges the whip had no problem with and clipping completely (nothing but noise) in an area where the whip had programmed only noise. So in my experience it's more about looks or style than improving reception. So if all your stations are good and strong, you probably won't notice any difference. It doesn't help the weaker ones. Also, if you're buying Revain Warehouse Deals to try and save some money, make sure the antenna you get has their logo on it (shown in my 2nd picture). I first ordered through Warehouse Deals (listed as new condition, only opened) and received an antenna that someone replaced with their old one and the mounting screws were also missing. What I am reviewing was a full price new purchase.
