Crap for gamepads and standard controllers

Crap since I opened the box. When I first opened it, I heard a rumble inside. Looks like a piece came loose inside. It kept disconnecting from my Xbox after about two weeks of use. I updated the firmware because I believe this is the problem. It then started disconnecting from the Xbox every time there was too much vibration (which almost always happens in any shooting or driving game). Finally, the final straw was that when I plugged in the headset, I couldn't even connect it to the Xbox…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent

So far, so good! (NOT!)

UPDATE: LESS THAN A YEAR OF NORMAL USE AND I HAVE STRONG JOYSTICK DRIFT. NO LONGER USABLE. EVERY CONTROLLER I HAVE HAS THIS PROBLEM. I've only had it a week, so the crash window hasn't closed yet. Other than that, the hair trigger action on this bad boy is really nice. My batteries seem to drain a little faster, but that's not really a problem unless you're using rechargeable batteries. The added texture on the bottom of the controller is a welcome addition to the design too. Please update this

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Defective design and/or low quality product

Within the first 15 minutes of playing Madden 20 with this remote, the left stick started to hang and I couldn't use my defender moving to the side of the receiver which caused me to give up an easy landing. The next time I was on defense, I tried to press the b key to switch players, but the b key would get stuck and my player wouldn't switch. This was with a brand new controller out of the box and 15 minutes of playtime. Do not buy this controller. I tried to give him a few more chances to…

Didn't last 3 months

This is my second controller, the 3.5 headphone jack stopped working on my first controller after 3 weeks. Luckily I was less than 30 days old and replaced it with the same one. Now, 3 months after the right switch button, the second regulator suddenly switched sharply upwards. It was so bad that I couldn't play the game without looking at the sky. I tried disassembling and cleaning, the problem didn't go away. So the controller flies through space at 100 miles per hour and shatters into a…

Great replacement for Gen1 controller

My original controller, model 1537, was finally starting to wear out after years of use, the thumb grips were worn out, the buttons stopped pressing and generally it just became unresponsive. I chose this newer generation controller because it matched the pattern of my original controller but was white. As a PC user, I don't really use many of the new features of the 1708 controllers, but I do like the now slightly textured grips of these controllers. The buttons and joysticks feel more solid…

Beautiful and comfortable controller!

I was skeptical as Covert Forces had a glossy finish that made it very difficult to hold in my hands, especially since my hands got sweaty while playing. I had a Dawn Shadow controller and I LOVE that the finish was a matte rubber finish as it made the controller feel amazing and never slipped out of my hands. When you get this item, it has a matte finish, but it's also more textured than the Dawn Shadow controller, so even better! The LED is grayish instead of white so it doesn't offset the…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Zero

This controller doesn't generate much fanfare. It works as it should. However, there is a slight difference in grip as it is a rougher matte finish than the standard semi-matte finish of the standard black controller. I don't really mind it, but the slight/extra grip is definitely noticeable. I happened to like the color scheme, but everyone has their own. I was using an Insignia battery that I bought from BestBuy and the controller started vibrating randomly (sometimes violently and non-stop)…

My first third generation controller.

I bought my first Xbox 500GB many years ago when it first came out. Came with the first generator station controls. Since then I've only used these. After years of abuse the 3 I had were finished. I bought this wonderful device and the difference was significant. It's just as well made and durable as the first generation controllers, and it looks great. The texture also contributes to comfort and traction. It will take you some time to get used to the fact that all the buttons are now white…

Instant Stick Drift

My original XBox One controller that came with my console years ago started having drift issues. The left analog stick moved to the right until I physically moved the stick the other direction. Having owned this controller for years, I figured I'd buy a new controller and get this one. After using this controller for 5 minutes, I noticed the same stick drift. The left analog stick moved slightly to the right. It's not as bad as my old controller, but it was still common and very noticeable…
