[EDIT REVIEW] I've contacted support and it seems that sometimes you need to reset your USB-C ports, which is also a limitation of standard USB-C. In any case, the support team advised me to follow a simple procedure and the adapter is working again. Why doesn't Satechi publish this manual? Or part of the frequently asked questions when buying an adapter? At the end of the day the customer service is amazing and that is the reason for the 5 stars. ------ First of all I was very happy with my purchase as it will work perfectly. 98% of its usage was associated with connecting my MacBook Pro to an external monitor. Today the adapter doesn't even turn blue to indicate it's connected to my laptop. I understand that adapters can have a lifespan, but this is not even 5 months with very infrequent use. Style and looks aren't more important than durability, especially when you're paying a premium price. Wouldn't buy again - very disappointed.
