Best for appearances only - don't try to walk on it!

GOOD: The color was the shade of red typically seen on the red carpet at movie premieres. We had carpet on a light tile floor and while you could tell it was quite see-through, the red was still bold enough to look like a red carpet should. The width (3ft) and length (50ft) were generous/generous - however the material is thin enough that we can easily trim it to make it shorter if needed. The carpet looks great. BAD: Absolutely nothing is provided to secure the carpet to the floor. Maybe if we put it on the carpet it wouldn't be a problem. However, this turned out to be an extremely dangerous slip-and-slip product which we ended up packing up and not using because someone could slip/trip, fall and hurt themselves - too much of a liability. We tried double sided tape to hold it in place, glued dots and finally duct tape at each end (this completely ruined the look) but nothing stopped the rug from slipping. If every edge of the rug is not fully taped, it will slide/slip, bunch up in places and end up looking dirty. Unless you plan on actually walking someone on this carpet (ie just for the beauty), then this rug would be great. However, I wouldn't recommend anyone walking on a carpet unless it's fully sealed on all edges (which I think would ruin the look). If it is a wedding and the bride is wearing a train or floor length dress, she will end up carrying the entire carpet down the aisle when she walks down it as the carpet is very light and will eventually stick to the dress and walk with you down the aisle if it isn't completely sealed with duct tape. This rug doesn't withstand the wind either - it's incredibly light and will blow away in the wind. She'll eventually carry the whole carpet down the aisle when she walks down it because the carpet is very light and will eventually stick to the dress and walk with her down the aisle if not fully taped.
