I bought 7 of these and gifted them to each member to my family before we went on a Hawaiian vacation together. Honestly, nobody was exactly impressed by them at first but dutifully packed them as to not hurt my feelings. By the end of the trip every single person I gifted a towel to thanked me profusely. They took a ton of abuse on rocky shores, the beach and the pool and remained perfect. They dried fast, didn't hold ANY SAND. were easy to pack in both the suitcase and beach bag and they didn't develop any yucky manky smells after 9 days of constant use. The XL size was perfect to wrap up in and that was precisely what we did to dry off. The microfiber just kind of absorbs the water off your skin. It's a quite a bit different than toweling off with a terry towel and takes a little bit of getting used to. I will never take another towel to the beach or on vacation again.
