Yes, this hard drive case is plastic but very sturdy and the USB 3.0 connector (and cable that comes with it) is very high quality and works great. The description says it has a mini USB 2.0 cable, but it actually comes with a USB 3.0 cable to connect to a USB 3.0 port on the drive itself.
