There are lots of things to like about this. I love that there are two ribbons, red and grey, to mark your favorite spots. I like the press on tabs that are included, so i can go back and easily find the cringy emotional stuff i might obsess over briefly. I like the stretchy band to keep it closed, and the little stretchy loop to hold your pen. I think it's hilarious that there are date spots on each page, and any prolific writer will giggle about it, too, but the spaces don't take away from the overall. The big difference between this and a Moleskin is that the cover is hard instead of soft, but it's a minor difference so it doesn't matter. And some folks like having a hard surface to write on, so it can be a plus if that's what you need. All in all, this is a great little journal and i'm happy to add it to my dragon's hoard of journals.
