Review on ๐ŸŽง Immersive Audio Experience: YAMAHA MusicCast BAR 400 Sound Bar by Kenji Viray Tsuchida แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

A couple of notes: 1) the sound, whatever one may say, will be 2.1 - no 3d virtualizer will provide you with real 5.1. If you want real 5.1, then you can throw in expensive (on my wallet) YAMAHA MusicCast 20 speakers or one MusicCast 50 and it will save you. Perhaps in time I will do so, since the system allows itself to be scaled without problems. 2) PS4 started to give excellent sound and panorama, I even wanted to replay a couple of titles. The main thing is not to forget about this "remind" the console in the audio settings. 3) I did not find at least some kind of equalizer - only presets (I admit that I'm blind). TOTAL: As a universal fighter - I think (or rather I hope) there are more balanced models. As a TV soundbar - 5/5. Included is an optical cord, HDMI is not put. For the first time, of course, optics will also go, but for ease of control, I strongly recommend HDMI (HDMI ARC allows you to turn on / off the soundbar and TV with one button).

Pros
  • 1) The build quality is excellent - no backlash, no squeaks. 2) Significantly expand the capabilities of the TV in terms of audio. IVI and Kinopoisk came to life, even YouTube became more pleasant to watch. There were good uterine basses (soft, not "beats"), as the voices are now not interrupted by the background sounds of the film. 3) The soundbar communicated flawlessly with my main system from a yamaha r-n303 receiver + audio regiment t50 speakers. All software chips to improve the sound - work for five with a minus (here it's a matter of taste).
Cons
  • 1) I would regard the soundbar as a purely TV accessory, music is not about him. If you can listen to a song once, then I wouldnโ€™t do it on an ongoing basis - I personally didnโ€™t like anything from the equalizer presets for the sound (at the same time, an unspoiled ear will be pleased). 2) 3D virtualizer for an amateur - the same YouTube sounds great, movies with 5.1 support are just as good (the panorama is really getting wider). But when it comes to "cinema from a torrent" this same virtualizer pulls all the dirt out of the soundtrack and, without hesitation, throws it into your ears. Content for viewing now has to be selected more carefully.
