UPDATE: Two years and 23,000 miles later:Kr@p.Can't mount it tight enough without damaging factory paint at the door hinge. Tried using nylon washers to cushion the interface between this part's steel and the paint on the hinge. 1. hassle-factor. 2. doesn't work. Any torquing soft enough to not damage the paint leaves the foot rest too loose. Any torquing sufficient to not budge under normal foot pressure would crush the nylon washers anyway, and still damage the paint.Besides, why would I need to go through the trouble of going to the hardware store to find nylon washers to accompany this part when I paid for it to work out of the bow?!Like most cheap accessories for your jeep, this one fails to live up to its promise and will be tossed into the garbage can along with all the other $10-$100 little jeep thingies you buy the first year you have a jeep.
