Review on πŸ”Œ Enhanced Panamax M4315-PRO Power Conditioner/Surge Protector - 15 Amp by Jeff Labore

Power management with control and IP monitoring and power triggering from the receiver

This is a great device! It turns off when the voltage goes above or below the threshold (95-134V). Includes volt/am meter, outlet status and warning LEDs, 10ft cord, detachable, 9 outlets, LAN, phone, 2 cords/satellite protection. Used for a home theater in the living room with a Yamaha 5200 preamp and 6 Crown XLS 2502 power amps Trigger in the Yamaha preamp and it works as a champ. This panamax can do everything, the BLUBOLT app is a very handy surveillance tool, if you want to monitor your home, just buy it. To monitor, just plug in the network cable and create an account. Setup only takes 5-10 minutes. I think it's comparable to a Wattbox etc but much cheaper. For the 12V trigger only, I first bought an APC G5 rack power filter, it was inexpensive (about $120 at the time) with delayed start power supplies, but I couldn't use it with a 12V trigger and get it to work with a Yamaha preamp. I think I don't know enough about electricity. I have looked at other models such as the Panamax 5400 but this unit is larger and has 11 outlets versus 9 on this model. . The 5400 is about 2U high and I needed 1U of space (height). I was looking at the Furman CN-1800S which is a smart sequencer which is about $250 more expensive and has pretty much the same specs including smart, switchable etc but no voltage display which is a requirement for me. Performance has dropped a lot lately due to outages or repairs so I hooked it up to an APC 1500W UPS and everything works fine.

Pros
  • Automatic voltage monitoring) (average value)
Cons
  • Expensive
