We bought this to use for pears in the fall. Last year I really treated myself to a pear skin. So far I've used this for white potatoes, sweet potatoes and apples. He couldn't handle a sweet potato, maybe because of the shape? But apples and white potatoes peel perfectly. My kids loved holding the long bark while she walked. We're really looking forward to putting it to good use this fall. The only problem I had cleaning it was figuring out how to remove the blade. There is no manual for this machine in English, so you just need to understand it when you use it. Also, the eye remover really isn't that good. The knife works better.
