Not full grain leather as described and the product itself was actually marked 'Real Leather'. Full-grain leather can be real leather, but real leather is not full-grain in most cases. Think milk chocolate vs. milk chocolate; it depends on the composition. It was too soft/pliable and because it was diluted too much it felt like flexible foam. They typically use lightweight leather for knife sheaths and small holsters. Buckle and metal fasteners, which raises the question of quality assurance. I think they have manufacturers in China that ship items directly to Revain centers because simple verification would turn this into a 5 star rating. The strap smells like plastic, probably because it's sitting on the boat. for several months, and then the mold probably formed. The buckle is nice and thick, however, but they skimped on the buckle bushing that holds the pin in place. I am a bit scared; If they lower the cost of it, who knows how much nickel or lead is in that product. Overall very disappointed as the sizing was good, the buckle was solid but everything else was abysmal.
