2nd update: Supplier sent replacement. It comes with calibration packages and is included in the box. Out of the box accuracy test: I mixed the solution (not using calibration bags) and tested it with another aquarium pH tester and got 7.4. I then checked the solution with this digital PH meter and it showed 7.15, just 0.25 less than the other test. I cooked the second batch at 6.7 hours per hour and the digital counter read it at 6.48. NOTE: This is not the most accurate test and since the gauge lags by about 0.25ph I give it a "fairly good" rating. I dried the bulb and checked again. the second test gave 7.11 and the third test 7.14. The reproducibility is definitely good***.***These are my results, yours may vary. Please check your gauge if accuracy is critical. Update: Customer service has been in touch and believes the item was indeed damaged during shipping. They offered to replace or return the product. For that I give them two stars. Initially: The first PH meter received was defective. The item either broke during shipping or was not designed to operate. The pH kept dropping to 0 no matter what was in it. I tried to calibrate but the device didn't work. PLEASE READ THE UPDATES.
