This was the first silk pillowcase I've ordered in a long time. After receiving this one, I ordered a few others from other companies to compare as I wanted to give the silk pillowcases as Christmas gifts. The silk of this pillowcase is of good quality and definitely worth the money. I like the color, rich, elegant taupe, not quite golden. I like that it is very well made and has no zipper. I bought a premium brand with a zipper at the end and it looks like a pillowcase to me, not a silk pillowcase. Definitely not something I would give away. This pillowcase does not have a zipper, but has a flap, similar to a pillowcase. Unfortunately, the flap on the back is pushed back about a third, so you can't turn the pillow over while you sleep without wrinkling your face. So it didn't meet my criteria for a gift. It's roomy and well made, and if you don't have to flip it then it's quality, color and value. I just wanted something without that ugly zipper at the end and also a pocket that can be used on either side. If the valve was closer to the end so both sides could be used that would be ideal.
