This is a beautiful and inexpensive canvas picture frame stretched over a frame. It is the right size and looks well combined. Feels like solid wood or wood composite rather than plastic. The color is satin black, as in the photos in the description. Overall I'm happy with this frame. I gave one star for two reasons. 1 - The description says there are screws to fix it, but there weren't any. The kit included hook and loop parts for attaching to the pattern, but that's not ideal for my purposes. 2 - There are minor cosmetic imperfections in the finish. Most can be removed with a little furniture polish and a microfiber cloth. But there are some areas where the black frame has a glossy look that draws attention to the frame rather than the art. I've been watching this item for a while and was able to purchase it for a low price - less than $30. If you're buying quality art, I recommend a slightly better product. For framing a beginner's work, this should work just fine. I also recommend purchasing adhesive bumpers to stabilize the frame and protect the wall surface. Finally, consider installing with hangars other than the included sawtooth hangars for easier alignment.
