Review on ๐Ÿ’ง SEAFLO Water Pump and Accumulator Tank System - Powerful 12V, 5.5 GPM, 60 PSI, 2 Gallon Tank - Ultimate Water Flow Solution by Stoner Fulton

Exchange of all fittings! -- Should be a bulletproof system for the price, but it isn't.

The product is assembled (as it says in the instructions - this means that you install the hoses correctly). I figured that would mean these fittings were GTG. but not like this. A cheap plastic source and outlet and pump to the tank were all leaking. No Teflon tape was used and the plastic-to-plastic pressure fitting continued to leak. After further investigation, they also used thin and cheap hose clamps. I went and bought two 1/2 90 thread 1/2 ID barbed. and two more of the same lines. to solve the problem. Holds full pressure now. So far the products themselves are good. Note, however, that you should use higher quality plumbing if you intend to install this dry. UPDATE: My improved fittings worked fine. There was an oil leak somewhere on the block. Clean oil, possibly mineral oil, from the pressure gauge. I installed it in a small room so I can't see if the sensor is working. The pump is still running but failed yesterday. . . sounds like a broken wire on the positive side of the pump. . . I wiggled it and everything seems to be working again. I'll have to watch that. UPDATE 2 (07/09/2020): This free wire is only getting worse. I now have to reach in to wiggle it every time. View of the Black Power inlet on the pump. These wires are loose and the pump turns on when I wiggle the input wires and push them. When troubleshooting, the wires got hot and I saw a puff of smoke. Now I'm looking for a spare part for the pump. I can find the Shurflo part but not the Seaflow part and I need to do some more research.
