Review on Enhanced AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CPU (YD160XBCAEWOF) by Adam Orlowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

Overall, the new AMD FX CPU is a significant improvement over the previous model. Super-quick, icy, and, most importantly, perfectly functional and well-balanced. There are zero functioning problems. If FX frequently operated in an overclocked condition, this one will do so in silence at its stock frequency of 3.2Hz. On a typical cooler, temperatures range from about 35 degrees when idle to about 56 degrees when actively gaming. Unfortunately, Microsoft Windows 7 does not provide any official support. This analysis is of the R5 1600 BOX.

Pros
  • Multiple Processor Cores; Frigid Temperatures; Successfully competing at the same frequency as FX and even Intel with a brand new architecture; - I haven't noticed any unusual lag or freezing, and it runs all games smoothly without requiring overclocking or sacrificing multitasking flexibility.
Cons
  • I bought it despite the fact that it is still wet and have no regrets. There are still a few details to iron out with memory, and certain bugs just can't be rectified at the AGESA level, so don't hold your breath for a new revision any time soon. But these are little things that can't be completely dismissed.
