Review on 3-Pack Cole's Flaming Squirrel Seed Sauce 8 fl oz - Liquid Squirrel Deterrent FS083 by Amber Westbrooks

I dabbled in woodworking during the Covid pandemic and made a lovely cedar bird feeder of which I am very proud. The birds loved it but unfortunately so did the squirrels and they were so distraught when it ended that they actually ate the wood. I had to sand, repaint and such. You can see how problematic it would be if I had to do this every time the feeder went out. I was hesitant to use this product because I didn't really want to hurt the squirrels, but it turns out the habanero smell is so intense that they get within a foot of it and run away. You could just say it won't taste good and not even care. The thing is powerful! I actually smelled a very slight unintended odor when I mixed it with the seeds and the smell was so strong it burned my throat a bit. And like other reviews, it doesn't bother the birds at all. However, the catbirds showed no interest until the habanero was added. Other regulars include cardinals, blue jays and sparrows.
