I bought this muzzle for my 12 year old dachshund who weighs 10 pounds to keep her ears warm during the cold Midwest winters. The small size covers the head, ears and neck to shoulders. Don't get me wrong, she's not a fan, but it's adorable and warms her ears whether she likes it or not. I make sure her ears aren't pushed back or pinched when she's on and that she can stand being out a little longer than before. When we enter their ears we feel quite warm, as does the rest of their head and neck.
