Excellent knitting needles for knitting socks

Now I knit socks exclusively on short circular needles. The Addi shorts are 8 inches while all other brands are 9 inches. I like the Addis a little less because of that 8 inch length, they are a bit more difficult (for me personally) to maneuver; I have arthritis and some other hand flexibility issues. I still use these needles but they are not my first choice.
