Bought 2, 1 has a huge discolored 6 " wide vertical line.

Must have just been lucky. I have ordered so many monitors over the past 15 years and have almost never had a bad one. When they work properly, they look impressive. Very bright, bright and clear images. You can't go wrong with this model. Keep the box for shipping purposes only, in case you need an RMA or warranty return.
