Review on Bamboo Bread Slicer Homemade Loaf by Jeff Rothstein

I was so excited to get this because I get horribly even slices when slicing homemade bread. This might work on a wide loaf, but not on a regular loaf. The bread kept moving and was difficult to hold and cut at the same time. You will need a very long bread knife (more expensive) to allow the knife to reach and connect both sides of the slots. My slices came out worse than with my free hand. Due to the bottom plate, my knife (as stated in one of the reviews) did not cut through to the end either. About a quarter of the bottom portion was left uncut. It's not worth using. It didn't work at all for me. I'll have to come up with something else or I'll just end up with uneven slices
