This is my third Cygolite rear light. The first collapsed in an accident, the second got into the salty winter water and died. I tried another brand of light which was fine but I went back to Cygolite. Really bright, lots of patterns, programmable, big batteries (enough for my 8-9 hour ride every weekend). Definitely recommend to everyone. This model is bright enough for daytime use and definitely bright enough for nighttime road driving. An "always on" flashing mode that alternates between light and dark instead of on and off ensures constant visibility. An important safety feature for any rear light used at night.
