How it is connected: Adapter

I was only interested in connecting the stereo microphone output to the computer and monitoring the computer's audio output. I bought one of these and used an ohmmeter to figure out how it was connected. What I found may be very important for some users. There were no surprises on the part of the headphones. They receive a stereo signal from the TRRS jack to the TRS jack, which is connected to the headphone jack. Now to how the microphone input works. Say you have a stereo output going to a TRS jack with a left channel on the tip and a right channel on the ring, and you plug it into the mic leg of this adapter. The left and right (T and R) channels are shorted because the tip and ring are connected to the microphone input (sleeve) of the TRRS connector. So be aware that you can short out the drivers coming from your stereo source if they are not short protected. This arrangement may work for some applications, but not for my purpose. For my purposes it would be better if they only passed either the left or right channel and only one. The BEST solution would be to post the schematic in their specs on the Revain page. Please note that if you connect a 2-wire TS connector (tip = signal, S = ground) to the microphone leg of this splitter, short your input (connector tip) to ground and do not connect the microphone input to the TRRS connector .
