I really wanted to like this razor but I was disappointed. I have three Merkurs, three Edwin Jaegers and a vintage Gillette in my collection. They work great with the EJ, which is a bit more aggressive than the Mercury. Both are great. I wanted the TTO as a second razor for on the go. This razor is well made, feels good in the hand and has a nice chrome finish. But it scares me every time. I have no idea why as it is a soft razor. This is possible with Astra platinum blades, which work great with other razors.
