Review on Fenlink Internal Hard Drive Converter by Chad Sornsin

I used this to install my HP Touchsmart Pavilion model sisters Desktop computer upgrade 23-F261 Edition 2013. Your computer was slow and after checking what Taskmaster showed me my suspicions were confirmed. First, it only had 4GB of RAM, and second, it used an old-style spinning hard drive. To be precise, a 1 TB Western Digital Blue Drive. After I upgraded their RAM from 4GB to 16GB, I had to install a new 500GB Western Digital SSD drive. The hard drive cage included in the scope of delivery is not designed to accommodate a solid state drive. This is where the Fenlink 2.5 to 3.5 drive converter saved the day. The SSD drive fits perfectly with the drive converter and then the drive converter fits into the hard drive bay that comes with the computer. Then I just installed an old HDD cage that included a new Fenlink converter that held the new SSD back into the computer and that was it. I should mention that I copied or "cloned" the old hard drive to the new SSD using Acronis software. Very easy! My sister didn't have much on the 1TB drive, so in this case I got away with cloning to a smaller drive. My sister doesn't play. She uses this computer to order things, research things, find recipes, send emails, etc. Where that old machine still has plenty of life. So, $12 for the Fenlink converter, $60 for the SSD, and $60 for the 16GB memory kit, and $132 overall, I'd say it was worth it. First, the computer is nimble again, and second, we didn't send the computer to the landfill. Excellent converter, I will definitely buy again. Watch after.
