General Forward About My Opinion on Timex: Let me start by saying that I'm somewhat passionate about Timex but am still a realist, hopefully unbiased. I have berated Timex about their customer service for not releasing products with better quality control as per various Revain reviews and not living up to their reputation for well made watches as I remember from my early childhood; I am now 51 years old. In my experience, I've been VERY lucky with the current Timex in my collection. I give 2 thumbs up for their current design team. Specific product review: I would like to collect all watches from the Weekender 40mm, Weekender Chrono and Fairfield lines. I admire the minimalist, retro style that Timex is pushing. This is a great watch and for the price. The Timex Indiglo is fantastic. This weekender and my weekender Fairfield both have a slight shadow at the bottom when Indiglo is enabled. For me this is not a problem as I have realized that this is not a defect. As for ticking. I love it! He tells me it's a clock. It's louder than my other Weekender Fairfield but a little quieter than the Weekender 38mm. The 40mm dial speaks of class, simplicity and elegance. The Weekender 40mm is just the right size. I stay away from the 38mm weekenders because they are too small and feminine on my wrist. The leather strap looks too thin at first glance, but it is actually VERY nice and attractive. If the strap ever wears out I just put on a NATO. pay attention to the photos. In terms of accuracy, this Timex seems to be off by (+/-) 1-2 seconds a week. I like quartz movements for their precision. I'm just asking Timex to return an American-made watch to be passed on to my kids; I would happily pay extra for Timex to restore Seiko's or Citizen's reputation. I would like to see everything made of stainless steel and sapphire crystal. I think Timex has a great watch for the price. I am 100% for this watch. Come on Timex!
