I think a lot of people buy them just for the style, but we have a car that A) my wife keeps hitting the curbs with her bumper; B) requires removal of the bumper for almost all work; and C) Due to A, the standard bumper mounting tabs are mostly broken or missing. The set was easy to assemble, looks good and does what it's supposed to. Shortly after installation I had to bring the bumper in for repairs which only took a minute. A few months later I was driving down a forest road that had turned to loose dirt and rocks and there's no doubt that was the bumper. Easy to order, but overall very impressed with the quality of the product and gear, especially for the price.
