I bought these quick release bumper mounts for my 2013 Honda Civic Si. It had a dent in the driver's side fender so I took it off and cleaned it fairly well. Since I had already removed the bumper, fender and fender it was easy on the driver's side as everything was visible. The passenger side was a bit more difficult as the wheel trim was still there and I had to pull it back to drill the holes. Yes, you need to drill holes wherever you want to install them.
