They are plain and simple as you would expect. If you're even considering these headphones, chances are these are more or less what you're looking for. I bought these for my PS4 because I wanted a simple thing that easily plugs into a controller for a quick chat or to reduce noise around the house. Many headsets advertised for gaming, particularly the PS4, were large, unwieldy pieces that not only looked unwieldy, but also broke when they fell off the shelf. Additionally, I wasn't very keen on the need to charge another item when I already have four controllers with matching charging stations in my entertainment center.
