Service light and airbag warning reset

I used this on my 2008 Boxster RS 60 Spyder. I lost my Durametric module in a recent move. I love that this code reader is standalone and easy to plug in without a laptop. The menus are a bit confusing and the management isn't the best. I literally only bought it because I needed to reset my service light. It didn't take long and I was finally rid of the annoying pop-up reminder. Which has paid off for this reader. I had an accident with my car about a week ago, I was working on it and didn't disconnect the battery, much to my disgust I burned out the battery. All sorts of error messages flashed, most went away after the car jumped and ran for a while. The airbag light did not go out. I kept scratching my head and finally remembered that this code reader was in my front trunk. I couldn't find a specific menu to reset the airbag warning but manually went through all the module trouble codes and cleared all the low voltage trouble codes. I've read some horror stories on the Porsche forums about how people can't make it without a trip to the dealer and for several hundred dollars. From now on, this little code reader will always accompany me in the car. I don't have a CD changer, so I'll put it here and not lose it. Service and menu can be confusing (only 2-3 stars here). Value for money is an amazing 5/5, the results for me have been phenomenal. I'm four hours away from the nearest factory dealer, so memorizing the codes would take a lot of time.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
