I have been using it for my sessions all day today and am very satisfied. My favorite lighting is a combination of cold and warm tones. I appreciate being able to adjust the brightness of all settings and, as mentioned, have had no issues with the phone holder. I have an iPhone XS Max and it holds up great. It bounces when it moves, so it won't make a good tripod if that's your goal. But for me it's nice to be able to check email or watch a video nearby. The clamp is strong enough to get the job done. It has foam so it helps prevent scratches. However, it seems like it's just stuck inside, so I think it might rip one day. Although the price is ok. Dents are still something I keep a close eye on. I tried attaching it to a laptop, but due to the weight of the ring lamp and the thinness of the computer, the clip exerted more pressure on one side and felt unreliable. I was also afraid it would scratch my laptop because it's so tilted. There are several spots on my desk where it's about 1 inch, which seems perfect for this clamp. The 3.5-4 inch sections are too thick. I have a 1930's enamel table so I make sure it doesn't have dents or anything. In general, what I wanted, he does! I am very happy!
